I will be presenting a work on tags at Tokyo University. I argue that tags challenges the authoritarian nature of what I call perfectionism in urban aesthetics.

On April 4, I will fly to California for the ASA Pacific. With the fabulous Dr Angela Condello (University of Turin, University of Rome III), I have organized a panel on "Art & Law." Together with Shanghai Art Fair and the Institute of Italian Culture in Shanghai, I developed a lecture where I sketch the evolution of mural art in the history of Western Art from Ancient Rome to modern graffiti and street art. In the talk, I emphasize some of the most interesting question that (the history of) mural art raises in relationship with Modern conceptions of art and the institution of the museum.
